Sofia Vergara illness: 'Modern Family' star's illness keeps her from attending Oscars

Surgery? Mystery illness? Rumors have been swirling this past week over why "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara missed the Oscars Sunday night.
According to the Huffington Post , Vergara was simply suffering from a case of the flu.
The star even turned to Twitter to calm down her nervous fans. "Watching the Oscars at home so I dont give everyone the flu haha!" she tweeted Sunday night.
No worries, Vergara is expected to make a full recovery and be back on her feet in no time.
