Naomi Watts to play Princess Diana in upcoming film 'Caught in Flight'

Naomi Watts is trying her hand at being a princess for an upcoming role in the film, ‘Caught in Flight.’

Watts isn’t playing just any princess, though. In fact, she’s acting as the stunning late Princess Diana.

According to E! Online , Jessica Chastain was originally reported to be playing the role.

Watts, 43, said that she is looking forward to the challenge of playing the iconic royal and that she is “honored” to have been chosen.

E! Online posted a photo of Watts wearing an elegant, gold gown similar to one worn by the princess herself.

We think she looks quite like the beautiful Princess Diana, especially with the perfect combination of pearls and jewels.

‘Caught in Flight’ is said to be a film about Princess Diana’s relationship with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnet Kahn.

According to IMDb.com, the film is set to be released in 2013.
