Kim Kardashian talks babies before marriage

When Kim Kardashian's sister Kourtney began having kids with her boyfriend sans engagement ring, Kim couldn't hold back her judgment.

"I was like, 'You're not married! How could you do this?' I was really firm and strict," the 32-year-old tells Cosmopolitan magazine in its April issue. "But she was like, 'Marriage isn't what I want.' And later, I realized she had a better family life than I did."

And now Kim's in the same boat. The reality star and businesswoman is still technically married to Kris Humphries, her estranged husband of 72 days, but not to Kanye West, the father of her soon-to-arrive child. Her romance with West, Kardashian says, "is where I probably always should have been."

"[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don't have this sense of urgency about it," she adds. "I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me. ... I used to think, Well, can you really have it all? The truth, the excitement, and the passion? Now I know you can."

The two seem to have made a happy home together if that racy French magazine cover, on which Kardashian and West appear to be in the middle of a very private moment, is any indication.

And yet, after two failed marriages, Kardashian isn't in a rush to walk down the aisle again.

"I saw fast marriages like Khloe and Lamar's and that was what seemed to work," she says. "[Now] I say give it a good six months before you commit. Feelings change, even if it seems so lustful."
