The former Mrs. Tom Cruise is wasting no time in reviving her acting career.
Not quite two weeks after "amicably" settling her divorce with "Mission: Impossible" star Cruise, 33-year-old Katie Holmes has taken on her next big project.
The "Dawson's Creek" actress is heading back to Broadway, as a cast member of the new play "Dead Accounts."
She'll star as "Lorna" in Theresa Rebeck's five-character stage comedy, which will be directed by Jack O'Brien. "Dead Accounts" will be showcased at the Music Box Theatre in New York City starting this fall.
It will be Holmes' first return to the Broadway stage since she starred in 2008's "All My Sons," but that's not all she's got up her sleeve. Holmes also recently taped a guest appearance as a judge on "Project Runway."
Plus, she is expected to start shooting "Molly" - a film she co-wrote and will produce - any day now. It's about a single mom raising her daughter.
