Eric Dane recently announced he will be leaving his role as Mark Sloane on ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy.'
The Huffington Post reports that Dane will appear in a few episodes of the new season in order to finish off the story of his character and then he will be gone for good.
Dane told TVLine, the source where Huffington Post heard the news, that he was "extremely grateful" to be on the hit TV show. The rest of the cast, of course, wished him well on his future roles.
The Huffington Post says that in the end of the past season, Sloane finally told Lexie that he was in love with her, followed by a fatal plane accident.
They also say that Chyler Leigh and Kim Raver, other actors on 'Grey's Anatomy' were among the two killed in the plane crash, so they will also be departing from the show.
How do you think Dane will end his role on the show?
'Grey's Anatomy' will return for its ninth season in September.
