It's been a long road from only child of singers Sonny and Cher, to coming out as a lesbian in 1995, to taking the physical steps to become a man.

Rolling Stone magazine is reporting that now Chaz Bono is shopping around for a penis to complete the transformation.

Rollingstone.com reports that Bono has had a mastectomy, testosterone treatments, started lifting weights and even started going shirtless.

After his stint on 'Dancing with the Stars,' Bono has reportedly been checking his finances and says he may soon be able to afford to get a penis to complete the transformation.

Apparently he has options to choose from, including surgically attaching a penis from a donor site on the body, or a procedure that uses what he already owns, his clitoris, which has grown larger from the testosterone.

Bono says he's favoring the latter.

But how much will this cost?

Bono says it depends because there are different ways to do the surgery, from basic to "more and more options."

He said the doctor he wants to use is in Belgrade and estimates the cost between $25,000 and $45,000.
