'Bachelor' Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson end their engagement

Another "Bachelor" relationship bites the dust. Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have called it quits.

People magazine is reporting the couple who met on Season 16 of the hit TV show "The Bachelor" have ended their engagement.

"It's true," Flajnik told People magazine Friday, although he didn't elaborate on the split.

The couple briefly split after Flajnik proposed to Robertson on the show, but appeared to be back together when the "After the Final Rose" special aired.

The couple, who have been in a long-distance romance, seemed to be taking it slow.

"We're still in the early stages so we're learning a lot about each other, spending as much time with each other," Flajnik told People at the end of April. "We're slowing acclimating our lives together and our friends together. It's going really well."

It appears the long-distance romance wasn't working.

On Friday, the couple issued a statement to In Touch magazine saying:

"After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship. The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers.
