South Korean rapper PSY is putting a nutty twist on his viral sensation GANGNAM STYLE for a new Super Bowl commercial.
The YouTube.com sensation has signed on as the face of Paramount Farms' Wonderful Pistachios and on Tuesday (08Jan13) he donned a green suit to film a TV spot for the brand in Hollywood, where he'll show viewers a unique way to crack the nut to the tune of his popular song.
Psy, real name Park Jae-sang, will also reportedly modify the lyrics to Gangnam Style to reflect his new gig as spokesman.
Marketing executive Marc Seguin tells USA Today, "He's penetrated the cultural consciousness of the United States. We knew the Super Bowl would require something really special to stand out."
The advert will air during the American football championship on 3 February (13).
The Super Bowl commercial line-up already includes models Bar Refaeli and Kate Upton, who will appear in spots for GoDaddy.com and Mercedes-Benz, respectively.
