GIRLS ALOUD star NADINE COYLE is facing the prospect of losing her Irish bar in Los Angeles if she fails to settle an ongoing tax dispute.
The Northern Irish pop star set up Irish Mist in Orange County, California in 2008, but she hit headlines in January (12) when reports emerged suggesting she had fallen behind with tax payments for her business venture.
Rumors of rising tax debts have rumbled on for months, and now it has been revealed local authorities have demanded payment of almost $160,000 to prevent the venue being seized and sold at public auction.
Orange County Treasurer Shari Freidenrich tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "They need to pay the entire balance including all penalties and interest to avoid a tax sale."
Coyle, who runs the business with her father, Niall, has spoken in a new interview about the difficulties she faced going into business, revealing, "I have never worked harder in my entire life."
