Miranda Lambert patches up differences with Ashton Kutcher

Singer MIRANDA LAMBERT has settled her differences with actor ASHTON KUTCHER, five weeks after she took offense to his comedic behavior as the host of the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Kutcher's cowboy clothing and a Capella rendition of George Strait's I Cross My Heart onstage at the Las Vegas ceremony last month (Apr12) had many stars questioning his motives, and Lambert, who received an award from the Two and a Half Men funnyman, felt he was actually mocking the genre.

He defended himself by reaching out to The House That Built Me singer on Twitter.com, writing, "Miranda_Lambert I Am One Of The biggest country Music fans you've ever met. Wasn't making fun at all."

And the pair proved it had moved on from the incident by hugging it out at the Barnstable Brown Party, a pre-Kentucky Derby event held on Friday night (04May12) to celebrate the weekend's (05May12) big horse race.

Lambert snapped a photo of the two new pals and posted it on her Twitter blog, alongside the caption: "here it is y'all. He is sweet and lives country music! For real!"

Kutcher and Lambert weren't the only celebrities who were dressed to impress at the following day's big race - R&B icon Mary J. Blige, Cyndi Lauper, Twilight star Kellan Lutz, and actresses Debra Messing and Ginnifer Goodwin were also among the crowds in Louisville who watched in excitement as I'll Have Another beat a favorite named Bodemeister to the finish line to land the 2012 trophy.
