Superstar MARIAH CAREY is planning a Disney-themed celebration to mark her twins' second birthday, which falls on her wedding anniversary to NICK CANNON.

The Hero hitmaker and her husband Cannon have had double the reason to smile on 30 April since becoming parents to son Moroccan and daughter Monroe on their third anniversary in 2011, and they are set to treat them like a little prince and princess with a special party next month (Apr12).

Carey is refusing to give up all the details, but admits it was easy to come up with the Disney idea having recently recorded Almost Home, the theme tune for the family entertainment giant's new fantasy film Oz the Great and Powerful.

She says, "We have a doozy (easy party) planned for this year and it's kind of funny because it coincides with the whole Disney moment; I just did the song for Oz... This is going to be a moment... It's kind of like a fun (celebration), it's more for the kids than us, but it's gonna be cute."

The Disney party will be a departure from Carey and Cannon's romantic anniversary last year (12) - the couple renewed its vows at the top of the Eiffel Tower during a family break in Paris, France.
