Singer LEANN RIMES checked into a clinic to deal with anxiety issues because she was crying "uncontrollably" and felt "incredibly depressed".
The Blue hitmaker enrolled in a 30-day in-patient program at a treatment facility in August (12) to address her stress problems.
Rimes, who previously admitted her stint in rehab was a liberating experience, has now opened up about the reasons which prompted her to seek help in a new interview with E! News.
In a taped interview with presenter Giuliana Rancic, Rimes says, "When you look around and you go 'I'm crying, like, uncontrollably, no one can help me,' that's when I knew I had to seek help... I was incredibly depressed and not quite sure of who I was."
The TV special is due to air on Sunday (09Dec12).
