Singer JENNIFER HUDSON has taken inspiration from her own experiences as a mom to record a special lullaby.

The Spotlight hitmaker, who has a two-year-old son David, teamed up with baby care brand Pampers to release the nighttime song, set to the famous Brahms' Lullaby.

Pampers bosses are commemorating its release by making a generous $100,000 donation to Hudson's charity, the Julian D. King Gift Foundation to benefit moms, toddlers and babies.

She says, "I am so thrilled to participate in this special project with Pampers. And I'm so proud to be recording a very special rendition of my favorite classic lullaby melody, Lullaby And Good Night."

The star previously revealed her son appears to have inherited her passion for music, insisting, "The other night he was having a fit screaming, and someone turns on the music and he just stops and calms down. And I was exactly the same way as a baby. Sometimes when he cries, I try to harmonise!"

Hudson's lullaby can be downloaded for free via Pampers' Facebook.com page.
