Music mogul CLIVE DAVIS is planning a special tribute to honour WHITNEY HOUSTON at his pre-Grammy Awards party a year after her death.
The pop superstar was found dead in her bath tub at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California on 11 February, 2012 just hours before Davis' annual bash was due to kick off downstairs.
The tragedy marred last year's (12) party, but organisers are going ahead with the 2013 gala at the same venue on Saturday night (09Feb13).
Davis has now confirmed the event will open with a poignant tribute to Houston, telling People.com, "(I am) going to do something to remind everybody that her talent lived among us and in so many people... It's a different kind of opening. The opening has never been done before, with the kind of music that's unprecedented."
The music mogul refused to reveal any more details about the plans.
The Grammy Awards will be handed out in Los Angeles the following night (10Feb13).
