Director ANG LEE was the toast of the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards on Sunday (17Feb13) as his movie LIFE OF PI picked up two top awards.
The mastermind behind such movies as Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was handed the prestigious Filmmaker Award at the 60th annual prizegiving ceremony in Los Angeles.
The sound teams that worked on his latest release, Life of Pi, were also honored with two trophies for achievements in dialogue and music editing.
The crew from Bond movie Skyfall triumphed in the sound effects category, while Les Miserables' editors landed honors for editing in a musical.
The TV adaptation of Games of Thrones won two awards, while prizes also went to small screen favourites American Horror Story, Newsroom and Smash.
