AMY ADAMS suffered a meltdown on the morning of the first Oscars she attended after her car broke down.
The Fighter star was tipped in the Best Supporting Actress category in 2006 for her role in independent movie Junebug - but Adams' day didn't go as planned and she ended up breaking down in tears.
She tells E! News, "I had a meltdown that morning because I left my (car) lights on while I was having breakfast at Kings Road Cafe (in Los Angeles).
"My car wouldn't start and then I couldn't find my camera. I cried… My boyfriend had a really good laugh about me on Oscar morning, crying."
Adams is hoping to end a run of defeats in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Academy Awards later this month (Feb13) - she has been nominated four times but never won. She's up for the award again this year for her role in The Master.
