t's not everyday a self-professed fan of "Modern Family" gets an offer to guest star, but series co-creator Steve Levitan has extended such an opportunity to Ann Romney ... should one major political development occur.

Ann, the 63-year-old wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt, revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" that the Emmy-winning ABC comedy is her favorite show on TV.

The series centers on three interconnected families, one of which is made up of committed partners Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson).

Hearing the news that Ann's among the many who tune in to his show, Levitan tweeted Tuesday that he was "thrilled" to know he can count her as a fan.

"We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding," he added, "As soon as it's legal."

Ann's husband, who will be formally nominated as the Republican presidential candidate on Thursday, has a platform that opposes same-sex marriage.

Ann might've missed Levitan's push for change, though, as she was gearing up to speak at the Republican National Convention the day the "Modern Family" EP sent it out.
