Navideh Forghani joined ABC15 News in August 2011 as Multimedia Journalist.

She came from the NBC affiliate in Augusta, Georgia, where she worked her way up to weekend anchor.

Navideh has a passion for breaking news, politics, and investigative journalism.

One of the stories she’s most proud of is an investigation she conducted into a local police department in Georgia. She exposed a police chief and the city after they fired a former officer over her pregnancy.

Navideh got her start in journalism at the University of Florida. She graduated with a degree in Journalism and Political Science. While there, she anchored Morning Edition and All Things Considered for the NPR affiliate.

Navideh has won several awards and received acknowledgements for her work with both the Florida AP Association and the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.

When Navideh is not working, she’s busy trying to complete her Masters in Political Management from George Washington University.

Navideh grew up in Gainesville, Florida. While she does miss the Sunshine State, she’s excited to call the Valley of the Sun her new home.
