Brien McElhatten is a Multimedia Journalist for ABC15 News.
He joined the team in August 2010 after working as a reporter in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he covered topics including government and education.
Brien grew up in a military family and traveled the country while growing up. He credits a childhood on the move for his curiosity which put him on a path to journalism.
Brien attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, but spent his first two years of college at Ohio University in Athens.
An Eagle Scout, Brien spends much of his time outside and enjoys “roughing it” every now and then.
Brien is married to his college sweetheart, Laura, who also has a television background.
They have no children, but enjoy spoiling their German shepherd, Jack.
