Amy Murphy anchors weather on weekday mornings for ABC15 News.
The Emmy-award winning journalist and forecaster joined the ABC15 team in November 2011.
Although Amy’s career has spanned the nation, she has always called Phoenix home because of family and close friends.
During her career, Amy has covered news and weather in Denver, Cleveland, Miami and Los Angeles, in addition to here in Phoenix.
It was in Los Angeles that Amy earned an Emmy Award and Golden Mic Award for breaking news coverage of the METROLINK Train Disaster.
Amy is active in charities involving children, animals and the homeless. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy and radiation in 2010. She is now cancer-free and also donates time to cancer research fundraising efforts.
She loves to cook, spin, rollerblade and hang out with her rescue dog, Carson.
