PHOENIX - UPDATE: Arizona raised $928,541 for local nonprofits. Thanks Arizona!
If you were looking for a way to give back, you were invited to join Arizona Gives Day!
The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum joined together for the first Arizona Gives Day to promote donations to nonprofit organizations throughout the state.
For a 24-hour period on Wednesday, March 20, Arizonans could visit www.AZgives.org and donate to the nonprofit of their choice.
The online event began at midnight and went until 11:59 p.m.
According to officials, more than 700 nonprofit organizations registered to be a part of Arizona Gives Day!
Any 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization in the state was eligible to participate.
