PHOENIX - Phoenix Parks and Recreation is accepting applications to participate in this year’s APS Electric Light Parade.
City officials said the theme for this year’s event, which ABC15 is co-sponsoring, is “Toys, Treasures and Traditions”, so sign up and get creative!
Entry options include motorized floats, parade balloons, performance groups and marching bands.
Fees start at no charge and range up to $400.
The parade will start at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1, but ABC15 will air it Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. and again on Dec. 22 at 11 a.m.
If you want to see the parade live, it will begin on Central and Montebello avenues, head south on Central toward Camelback Road, then take Camelback to 7th Street and up to Indian School Road.
Applications will be accepted until Nov. 2 or until they reach 65 entries.
