Celebrate Dia de los Muertos in Phoenix with CALA Alliance, ABC15

ABC15 is a co-sponsor of the Dia de los Muertos Festival

Join CALA Alliance's Day of the Dead celebration as we honor Hispanic tradition with music, food, and activities.

What: CALA Alliance presents the inaugural Dia de los Muertos Festival/PHX. The festival will include a variety of performers including Aztec Dancers, Las Calaquitas, El Paseo, La Mascarada, Las Coronas, and headliner band Metalachi – the world’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band. Attendees can participate in a mask-making workshop, march in a procession with 8 foot tall animated puppets all while listening to live music and enjoying delicious cuisine.

When: Sunday, October 28 -- 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Why : In September 2011, CALA Alliance launched its inaugural CALA Alliance Festival, which was met with great enthusiasm from across all markets. This year, CALA is back with Encore - the 2012 Celebration, building on the momentum and success of 2011. This year’s festival is locally focused and will celebrate Hispanic tradition with live music, food and activities to remember the passing of loved ones.
