Southwest Behavioral Health Sends Plea to Community
For Hot Weather Supplies for Homeless Outreach

Phoenix, AZ – June 24, 2010 – Southwest Behavioral Health Service's Homeless Outreach, a non-profit program serving homeless individuals with mental illness, is requesting donations of hot weather supplies.

Items that SBH's Homeless Outreach is requesting include:

 

Water
Sunscreen
Hats or Caps
Lip balm
Hygiene kits (including toothpaste, toothbrushes)
Lightweight t-shirts
Shoes
Socks
Underwear
Monetary donations
Secure storage areas

Supply donations can be dropped off at the front office of Southwest Behavioral Health, 3450 N. Third St. in downtown Phoenix, AZ 85014; 602-265-8338, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They can also be dropped off at SBH's Homeless Outreach offices at the Day Resource Center, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, 1125 W. Jackson, Ste. #448, Phoenix, AZ 85007 (602) 393-9930 ext. 3444 or (602) 525-4264 (mobile).

It is recommended to call before making any drop-offs to the Day Resource Center. Monetary donations to purchase supplies are greatly welcomed and can be received at either location. Any businesses that can donate secure storage for SBH’s Homeless Outreach use are encouraged to call the organization directly.
