50% off Phoenix half-marathon for those registered for NYC
The 37th Annual Phoenix 10K and Half Marathon is making the offer to runners who had been training for Sunday’s New York City Marathon, which was cancelled Friday by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. With a climbing death toll and many living without power, there was bristling criticism in New York about police and other services being diverted to handle the marathon, which draws tens of thousands of runners.
Runners who were registered for the NYC Marathon can bring their registration, race bib or other proof on Saturday to Runner’s Den, 6505 N. 16th St. in Phoenix, or to on-site race registration Sunday morning to run the half marathon in downtown Phoenix for half price.
