PHOENIX, AZ -- A 20 degree change in temperatures has left many Phoenix residents missing the 80s.

“It’s cold. Much, much too cold,” said Shirley Tardif on Mill Avenue Tuesday afternoon. “We were in shorts and tank tops last week and here we are today, we need long johns.”

Daniel Marscod agreed with Tardif, saying, “I liked it better last week.”

However, it’s all a matter of perspective. Denver, CO picked up 20 inches of snow in some areas. It was that same system that dropped our temperatures to a high of only 65.

At the Arizona Grand Resort, visitors from across the country think our temperatures are perfect. Sam Johnson from the San Francisco area said he thought it was too warm when he got into town.

“The weather is perfect. I thought when we checked in it was a little warm, but it’s like the resort ordered up San Francisco weather for me,” said Johnson.

“The guests are really enjoying it I think,” said Paul Gray with the Arizona Grand Resort. “I don’t think it’s affecting many people. The Phoenicians are a little shocked by it, but I think we enjoy it for the most part.”

Whether you’re enjoying the cool down or not, temperatures are set to rise back into the mid to high 80s by the weekend.
