FLAGSTAFF, AZ -- Forecasters expected the Flagstaff area to see about an inch of snow, but high winds kept flurries from accumulating Tuesday night.
Around 7:30 p.m., the wind-driven snow started falling.
The snow did not cause any significant problems on the roadways.
At elevations above 8500 feet, about a quarter of an inch of snow covered the road leading to the Snowbowl ski resort.
Temperatures are expected to remain at or below freezing throughout the day, and there's a chance of more flurries Wednesday morning.
