PHOENIX -- The colder weather arriving in Arizona could create some problems for your car.
Scott Petrie with Tony's Auto at 5602 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix says drivers in the Valley will only see minimal impact on their car from the cooler temperatures, but should still check out a few items.
Tips on getting your vehicle ready for winter weatherThe colder temperatures can drop your tire pressure by a small amount. Petrie says that small drop shouldn't be a major concern if you are maintaining your tires on a regular basis anyway.
You might also want to make sure your wiper fluid is anti-freeze based and have other fluids checked.
The bigger issue for drivers is if they decide to travel to significantly colder areas and even into snow and ice.
For those planning on traveling, a vehicle inspection is recommended to assure it is properly winterized.
