Sky Harbor International Airport picked up .15" of rain, bringing our total rainfall amount for this season's monsoon up to 3.63".
The impact of that: it's the wettest monsoon the Phoenix area has seen since 1999.
When you look at the breakdown though, the pattern is obvious. We're dry, but that shouldn't come as a surprise considering we live in the desert.
Since 2000, we've averaged 1.51" of rain, well short of our normal rainfall average of 2.65".
2006 was the last decent year we had when we picked up 3.33".
