PHOENIX -- The Valley finally got a good first taste of the Monsoon on Friday night.

Dozens of customers were without power for several hours in an area in the Northwest Valley when a power pole fell into a desert wash.

According to Damon Gross with Arizona Public Service, an area around 115th Avenue and Happy Valley Road lost power at about 6:30 p.m. He said 96 customers were affected.

On Saturday, Gross said the customers had power restored by 11:30 p.m. last night.

He said crews don't know what caused the pole to fall.

By 10 p.m., the storms had spread to much of the Valley, bringing rain, dust and wind.

Earlier, the area around Lake Pleasant saw some of the heaviest showers.

Air15 also found a dust storm in Sun Lakes, southeast of the Valley. Our pilot reported traffic was slow on Interstate 10 due to low visibility from the dust.

The Sun Lakes area was hit pretty hard too. An ABC15 crew found downed and broken trees in the area of Riggs and Alma School Roads.

At one home, a street sign was blown down and landed in a couple's yard.
