Weather leads to road closures in northern Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- DPS is requesting all motorists use extreme caution for travel at elevations above 5500 feet.
 
The Arizona Department of Public Safety in Flagstaff advises that State Route 260 is closed this evening between the junctions of State Route 273 and State Route 373 in the White Mountains.
 
If travelers need to get to Greer they will have to go east on US 60 from Show Low to Springerville and then double back west on State Route 260 to Greer.
 
Travelers can access the Sunrise Ski resort on SR 273, but cannot travel east of that junction.
 
Chains or 4-wheel drive are required between Hondah and the Sunrise turnoff at the State Route 273 junction.
 
In the Flagstaff area, US 180 is still closed north of Flagstaff between Kendrick Park and Valle.
