PEORIA, AZ-- Traffic is again running smoothly after being backed up for miles Thursday when a truck rolled over, spilling its contents onto the Loop 101.

Southbound traffic near Olive Avenue came to a complete standstill after an asphalt truck rolled about 11 a.m.

An ADOT camera showed the truck lying on its side and cars lined up behind it.

Department of Public Safety officers began allowing vehicles to go around the crash along the off ramp around 12:15 p.m.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves said the truck was traveling northbound when a front tire blew out and it went across the median and rolled over.

The driver, 39-year-old Michael Garcia, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to Graves.

The wreck was cleared around 3 p.m.
