It’s your big day and you want everything to be perfect, from the flowers to the dress, and everything in between.

The classics will always be in style, but there are some trends you may want to be aware of as you plan your dream wedding.

According to Kim Horn, Master Bridal Consultant, and spokesperson for Arizona Bridal Source, the hot trends in wedding gowns for 2009 are strapless, and halters in form fitting styles that show your shape and personality.

Proving everything old is new again, lace is making a comeback; and if you want to be a little daring, opt for a hint of color.

Horn says it can come in the fabric, or accents on the waist in the form of a sash or bling.

According to Horn, the bling and color trends will also carry over into the jewelry this year.

Horn suggests personalizing a family heirloom with these new trends, and you’ve got your “something borrowed” taken care of!

You want your reception to be stylish and timeless, and according to Horn this year menus are going “green” with organic food.

Instead of opting for the same old round tables, this year its hip to be square! Horn says square tables with square plates are in; and get personal with your dessert.

According to Horn ice cream and gelato bars are hot right now along with after hour parties complete with comfort food and even breakfasts for your late night guests.

As for your beauty; Horn says clean up your brows with an ancient treatment called “threading”.

The technique originated in India, and has now spread worldwide. Threading is performed by twisting a thread, usually cotton, into a double strand.

That double strand is used to remove a line of hair, creating a clean and precise hairline.

You can see all of these trends at the Arizona Bridal Show, Jan. 10 & 11.
