Between Nutcracker performances, baking cookies, school plays and doing holiday cards, there's no time to plan how great you're going to look during the holidays.

Don't worry: we've got that part covered for you.

Fashion designer Eva Franco shares the Top 10 must-haves for the season!

1. A great pair of black flat leather boots. They’re comfortable, smart-looking and can be worn with a skirt or jeans, and complement both casual or work attire.

2. A navy or dark colored Ponte knit dress. Ponte knit is fabulous because it is heavier than most knits and retains its shape while also flattering a woman’s curves.

It’s incredibly comfortable and resists wrinkling. You can’t find a better fabric for traveling.

3. A lightweight black cardigan. It’s extremely versatile and the perfect complement to any sleeveless dress if the weather or occasion calls for a little more coverage.

When going out at night you can wear it alone and belted with a chunky necklace.

4. A classic leather belt with either gold or silver metallic hardware- be it a chain, studs or grommets.

Metallics are a big trend for the season and adding a belt to your existing wardrobe can be just what you need to give an outfit a new lift without breaking the bank.

5. Something asymmetrical. Whether in a skirt, top or dress, asymmetry adds a wonderful dash of drama without overdoing it.

6. Tops or dresses that have interesting embellishments like studs, jewels, color blocking, unusual stitching details, or interesting patterns.

They offer a lot of pizzazz without a lot of work. Just be sure to keep it simple-if you have an embellished top, make sure to pair it with a simple skirt or pant.

7. A perfect pencil skirt. It’s sophisticated, looks great on everyone and is always ultra-feminine. The skirt is also a great way to introduce color into your wardrobe.

It gives just the right amount of pop without overdoing it.

8. A little fringe. Fringe on a sleeve or neckline provides both texture and movement and gives a look a refreshing edge.

9. Something navy. Navy is a perfect color year-‘round. It’s sophisticated, has a softer look than basic black, and always looks polished.

10. A pale lip. Find a wonderful nude lip liner and a lipstick shade only slightly darker than your own lips, for a wonderfully stylish complement to today’s bold fashions.
