Whether you love them, hate them, or wear them, they’re everywhere. The infamous “mom” jean. While many Valley moms have kept up with fashion trends, some are in desperate need of a jean intervention.

High-waisted, baggy, acid washed; no matter the fashion faux pas Hub has help on the way. Owner Tom Simon and Jennifer Mumford from Hub have seven tips on how even the most conservative of moms can feel comfortably fashionable in denim.

1. Buy your jeans comfortably tight. Nothing is worse than a saggy tush when you’ve spent good money on a pair of nice jeans.

2. Make sure that you will be able to wear them at least twice before washing.

3. Remember ladies, bigger jeans make you look bigger; slim, well-fitting jeans make you look slimmer.

4. Find a good mid-rise jean with a curved waist band. This will avoid the peek-a-boo and gapping effect.

5. Good fitting jeans should lie flat across your lower back and be comfortable.

6. Sticking to classic styles is always a safe bet.

7. Boot cut and straight leg fits are best with washes on the medium to dark side.

If you’re looking for a great pair of jeans and need some expert attention, the team over at Hub Clothing will be happy to help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Their encyclopaedic knowledge of fabrics, forms, styles and stitching makes Hub the go-to store for finicky fitters.
