You need to look buttoned up and respectable at work, but you want to look a little more sophisticated and sassy for a night out.

Alison Craig of 3 Impressions says you can transform you look from chic businesswoman to on-the-town goddess in three simple steps. The best part? It can all be done in five minutes or less.

1. Wear Layers
If you are lucky enough to know your evening plans while you are dressing in the morning, think about your overall look, and dress in layers.

If you have a traditional suit for your business look, think about pairing it with a silk or satin top.

During the day, the silk and suit combo is definitely business professional, but when evening comes, remove that jacket and show off your gorgeous silk top.

Or maybe your work wardrobe is like many Arizonans’ business casual, with a casual day dress, or a simple dress pant and top.

If that is what you normally wear, think about having a go-to cover-up, such as a jeweled cardigan, in your car.

By having a go-to piece with built-in detailing, you will always be prepared, never cold, and always stylish.
