The calendar officially says that it's fall, but here in the Valley it doesn’t feel like it.

It doesn’t make sense to dress in flowers and pastels in September, but when it is 90 degrees outside you don’t want to wear sweaters.

So how do you dress for fall when it is warm outside?

Suzanne Victor of Westcor's Style Panel offers these five trends to help you dress for fall without breaking out in a sweat.

From the ground up:
For shoes, a thick, chunky heel is very much a fall must have.

This season there is no worry about the skinny stiletto, it’s all about a thick heel.

It is not only sturdy, it’s stylish!

Still showing some skin:
One-shoulder look is in.

The Bold and the Cold is another fall trend that is perfect for Arizona.

This fall season’s cut outs that play peek-a-boo are a great way to stay cool, but also look chic.

A one shoulder dress is a great example of this trend.

Don’t be drab:
Bright colors with punch offer not only fun shades for fall, but a boldness that is still feminine.

Pastels are out, it’s all about bright bold this fall.

This trend is great for the Valley as long as you pick a breathable fabric.

From a bright pink dress to a silk scarf, pink will accentuate your fall wardrobe.

A cool rider:
A leather jacket is always hot, whether it is cool or not.

For men and women, the leather biker jacket is a must for fall.

Paired with jeans and a comfy tee, the look is easy to take from day to night.

Mad about plaid:
For men, plaid suits, jackets, ties and even pants are popping up everywhere.

For women, a great scarf or skirt makes a bold statement.
