How to use fall colors to make your eyes stand out

One of this season’s hottest trends is moody, mysterious eyes.

According to Zethina, makeup artist, this can be achieved with browns, plums, grays or any of your other favorite colors.

She says to start by picking just one color and use three shades of that color to create the look.

What we used on our model today was grays.

Start by lining your eyes with your favorite gel, liquid or pencil liner. Apply along upper eyelash line from corner to corner and smudge with finger.

Next, Zethina says, take the darkest color (we used gun metal) and apply over liner about one-half way up to the crease.

Then take medium tone color (we used grape divine) and apply from top of gun metal to the crease.

Then use the lightest color (we used Lulu) and apply to the rest of eyelid including from tear duct straight up to brow.

Zethina says you should also use the color at the outer edge of the eye and extend color almost to hairline making sure color fades.

Under the eyes use the medium tone (grape divine) from corner to corner.

Finish eye with liner inside rim and a few good coats of mascara.
