Drink up! Water helps beautify your skin, too

Water is vital for a healthy body and can also benefit your skin. Water helps remove waste products from your system and hydrates the skin, giving it a healthy glow.

It's also believed to encourage skin cell turnover and flush out excess oil that might otherwise become clogged in your pores.

Not drinking enough water can cause dry lips, headaches, and fatigue.

To avoid dehydration and reap the benefits of water, most experts recommend drinking at least eight glasses each day.

Those in dry climates may need even more. Don't wait until you're thirsty: by that time, you've already lost more than one percent of your body's water supply.

If you don't like the taste of water, try a bottled spring water or consider flavoring tap water with a wedge of lemon, lime, or orange.

Take a gallon bottle of water to work with you, and make it a goal to drink most or all of the water each day.

Pay special attention to your water intake when you're working out or drinking alcoholic beverages.

At these times, you'll need extra water to offset the amount you'll lose. Drink before, during, and after exercise.

At parties, have a glass of water or club soda between every cocktail.
