Go ahead and put a check mark next to several names on your holiday shopping list.
A Valley woman shares her recipe for facial products you make at home, pour into a jar and then turn into a fabulous, inexpensive gift.
Keeping her own skin in mind, Kerstin Wingert of
Souvia Tea has mixed the ingredients to make skin care products for years.
"I used to experiment with herbals in beauty products as a teenager," says Wingert, who carries a majority of the products that go into making the lotion and cream.
Just look at the label on store bought skin care products and you'll see the names of quality teas stocked on Souvia's store shelves.
"Lavender, Rose and Chamomile are not only good but also very safe," says Wingert. "What I like best is that I know exactly what's in it," says Wingert. "I don’t have to guess or be concerned about preservatives or other harmful substances."
Wingert can tell using her own line at home has helped her skin hold moisture better.
She also says depending on which essential oils and vitamins she uses, her skin has a more radiant look and feel. Wingert advises using your new line of skin care day and night.
Depending on where you purchase some of the ingredients, Wingert says you can spend as little as $5 per container of lotion.
Wingert says the following recipes make great holiday gifts.
