Volleyball dominates downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX -- You may see a few Volleyballs rolling down the streets of downtown this week as Volleyball festival 2009 takes over Downtown Phoenix with games running through Friday.

The event has been taking place for 26 years but this is the first time the "Festival" has stopped in the Valley.

Over 6,000 athletes and more than 500 teams from around the world are in town for the weeklong festival which runs through July 3rd. The event will feature close to 3,400 volleyball matches.
