Crosswoods Indoor Golf Centers are doing their part to help out the troops overseas.
On Saturday June 27th Crosswoods is inviting everyone to take part in a special day, “GOLF FOR OUR TROOPS” at the Crosswoods Indoor Golf Chandler location.
People are encouraged to dig up those old golf clubs and donate the Golf equipment. The day will feature military vehicles, personnel and the National Guard from 7am-1pm. Throughout the day, raffle tickets can be purchased for donated raffle items. There will also be driving & putting contests and food & drink specials with a portion of the proceeds going to subsidize the shipping cost for the golf equipment.
After speaking with their nephew, Rusty White, who is stationed in Iraq about what he does on his off time, Bev & Brad Lefebvre, partners of Crosswoods Indoor Golf, remembered reading about soldiers hitting golf balls to relieve stress. “Soldiers have and are putting their lives on the line for us and our freedoms” says Brad Lefebvre “it doesn’t seem like much in return but, we want to do something to thank them.”
Bunkers in Baghdad, US VETS and Soldiers Angels have all partnered with Crosswoods to make it happen. Donated items will be shipped to FOB Bernstein in Iraq, other bases, to a local US VETS home and to wounded soldiers programs across the country.
Donations are being accepted at
Crosswoods Indoor Golf Centers. They are located in Gilbert (just east of Higley on Baseline) and in Chandler (just west of Kyrene on the north side of Chandler Blvd).
