TEMPE, AZ-- Some of the Valley's best 8- to 18-year-olds aren't putting their gloves away with baseball in its off season. Instead they're working out at Packard Stadium.

Over 50 kids throughout the Valley are in the middle of the five week fall baseball camp at ASU called the Devil Development Program or D-Pound.

They get the opportunity to not only learn from the ASU baseball coaches like Ken Knutson, Andy Stankiewicz and Travis Jarrett, but they'll use the same facilities the Sun Devils use.

From the batting cages to the bullpen, coaches and players teach kids things like dynamic balance and how to throw more efficiently and harder.

Of course, many campers like Cole Tucker from Ahwatukee enjoy the hitting the most.

"You just get to mash with a bunch of college players what can be better than that," Tucker said.

ASU will continue their baseball camps through out the fall.

Here's the schedule:

Fall Youth Fantasy Camp - Oct 10-11
Devil Developmental Program - Oct 19-Nov 18
Complete Player Development Camp - Nov 21-22
Pitching/Catching Camp - Dec 5-6
Youth Holiday Camp - Dec 28-30
*Holiday All-Star Camp - Dec 28-30

*Features actual games that are overseen by Coach Murphy and his staff.
