Ilja Bryzgalov made 22 saves as the Phoenix
Coyotes took a 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins at Jobing.com Arena.
Keith Yandle had a goal and an assist while Shane Doan had three helpers for
the Coyotes, who have won three straight.
Mark Stuart scored the lone goal while Tim Thomas was charged with four goals
on 36 shots for the Bruins, who have dropped two of their last three.
The Coyotes struck first and they did so on the power play. Doan skated the
puck behind the net and from the left side dished it to the left circle for Ed
Jovanovski, who unleashed a one-timer past Thomas as he snuck in from the
point at the 4:40 mark.
Adrian Aucoin gave Phoenix a 2-0 lead 6:33 into the second period with his
first goal of the season.
However, Boston made it a one-goal game halfway through the second as Stuart
found the back of the net.
The Coyotes got a power-play goal from Yandle with 4:50 to play in the second
period and just 44 seconds later Scottie Upshall's third goal of the season
made it a 4-1 game.
Bryzgalov needed to make just six saves in the third period to preserve the
win for Phoenix.
