Time to revisit this one - the DBacks were 12-17 (.413) when Melvin was fired; they have gone 56-72 (.437) under AJ Hinch - so Melvin loses his job for poor performance while Hinch gets a 3-year contract and delivers...poor performance. The Dbacks were 8.5 games out of first place when Melvin was let go - now they are 24.5 games out. And the teams that are headed to the playoffs all have experienced, proven managers, while our team is managed by Opie Taylor's stand in. Seems pretty clear to me that serious changes need to happen at the top of this organization if we're ever to have a chance of contending again. And for those who think that my opinion as a fan doesn't count for much - want to know how many games I went to this summer? ZERO.
