I classify wedding photographers in three different categories. Editorial, Photojournalistic, and Traditional. Most photographers are mix of the three, some more heavily than others.

Q: What advice can you give brides on hiring a photographer?
Find someone you like. Someone who makes you feel good in front of the lens. If you're really picky, you can schedule an engagement session with them before you book the wedding to see if its someone you are comfortable working with.
Q: Can you give advice to some of the brides watching on how to look their best in front of the lens?
The best way to look good is to feel good. Get sleep, don't drink too much at the rehearsal dinner, hydrate, and be sure to eat the day of.
