TOLLESON, AZ – The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office reports that 49 people are in custody after a drop house was busted in Tolleson Sunday.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., deputies searched the home in the 8600 block of West Jocelyn Terrace, near 87th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, according to Deputy Lindsey Smith.

Of the 49 people taken into custody, four were coyotes transporting the suspected undocumented immigrants into the country, according to Smith.

Most of the suspected undocumented immigrants were reportedly in their late teens to early 20s.

Deputies were called out the home based on an anonymous call from someone who reported seeing suspicious activity at the home.

An RV-style bus was seen going to and from the home on numerous occasions, according to deputies.

A few of the people taken into custody had to be treated for heat related issues.
