PEORIA, AZ – Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a bank inside a West Valley grocery store on Tuesday afternoon.
The suspect entered the Safeway near 68th and Peoria avenues around 4:10 p.m. and approached the teller at the U.S. Bank, according to police.
The man reportedly stated "this is a robbery" and told the teller to hand over all of the money.
Police said the teller complied and the suspect fled the scene with the cash.
The suspect was last seen driving a rental type box truck that is approximately 20 feet long.
The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, 6 feet tall, and 160 pounds.
The man was reportedly wearing a white “FUBU” shirt, white hat, long blue and white plaid shorts, and possibly hat a ponytail tucked under the hat.
No weapon was seen during the incident.
