PHOENIX -- A Peoria man has been arrested for speeding at over 100 miles per hour - and this is his 55th violation.
Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said 29-year-old Elvis Amir Saloum was taken into custody at a shopping center near his home on Thursday.
Police had been looking for him since July after he was allegedly caught multiple times by photo enforcement cameras on State Route 51, Interstate 17, the Loop 101 and Interstate 10 driving his Lexus at speeds from 86 to 104 miles per hour.
Graves said Saloum was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail in downtown Phoenix on 11 counts of criminal speeding along with one count of reckless driving.
The Peoria man is a real estate agent who owns five homes throughout the Phoenix area, according to Graves.
According to Graves, Saloum was caught on camera 55 times violating the posted speed limit.
