LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ -- It's not everyday a food bank teams up with a domestic violence shelter in the Valley.

During these tough economic times, both organizations are hoping to get some help.

On Thursday, Hands of Hope will host a benefit in connection with Valley View Food Bank in Youngtown.

The benefit will be held from 4pm – 10pm at Tuscany @ Solano.  The restaurant is in Litchfield Park.

Carrie LePage, with Hands of Hope, is looking to raise money for her organization.

With donations low, Jesse Ramirez with Valley View Food Bank also decided to get involved.

Ramirez is hoping everyone who attends the benefit can bring a non-perishable food item.

Tuscany @ Solano is located at 13021 W Solano Dr. in Litchfield Park.
